How To Create an RFQ (Request for Quote) 

 

The RFQ (Request for Quote) is the most common, and most effective, way for you to work with your suppliers.

With an RFQ you create on Evente, you can ask for a price quote, or request product information. An Evente RFQ

  • Is easy to create

  • Can go to one or several suppliers

  • Can be for one or many items

  • Can include electronic files, such as diagrams, CAD drawings, detailed specifications, etc. -- up to 25 megabytes per line item!

An Evente RFQ includes  a header, with basic information about your company, the deadline for the supplier to respond, where the goods are to be shipped, etc., plus at least one line item, which specifies the goods you want to buy.

When suppliers respond to your RFQ via Evente, our system will send you an e-mail alert.

Evente stores every RFQ you create. You can look at it later, and can use a previous RFQ as a template for future purchases. (RFQs are archived for one year at no charge. Longer-term storage is available for a nominal fee.)
